Question by : Wich DSLR should I buy? I want really professional pics and pay max 3000 $ , I know the business.?
I’m looking for laser sharp images, highest quality (like leica analog), just boom, thats it, no hardware should stop me from taking the right & perfect pic.

I need the DSLR-body and 1 perfect lens (no zoom, just standart)
uups, I’m new to that answering technique :-) )
thx jay for your good answer. to the others: if you don’t like my straight forwad question: just don’t answer…the internet is a free place.
i write i know the business because i don’t want to start a basic discussion about digital photography, it’s that simple..now get out and get a life ;-)
thx to homburg, don’t get me wrong, but i mean: dslr (d for digital). i know, analog sometimes still seems to be sharper
thx to picture take, d700 with a good lens is a good lens. i live in switzerlnd, so here, the body alone of the d700 is above 3000 $ ..;-(

This is what you question sounded like–”I’m a Boeing 777 pilot and I know how to fly this air plane. But I want to know what airplane to buy!?”

If you want a Leica then get a Leica.

  1. Jay says:

    Canon 5D (classic, not MkII) and 85 1.2L – sharpest combo under $ 3K

  2. casperskitty says:

I agree with pooky. If you know the business you shouldn’t need anyone to tell you what camera to buy. And let’s say you do know the business, but do you know the craft?

  3. Ansell A says:

Well, with your obvious knowledge of the business and skills then I reckon the best for you would be…………… a pink one.

  4. mister-damus says:

any dSLR will do. Just be sure you buy a good lens (I’ve heard macro lenses are pretty sharp).

  5. holmburgers says:

You have $ 3000 to spend on a camera & lens and yet you don’t even know what you want or need?

    GIVE ME A BREAK.

    I’ll give you laser sharp images w/ my 35mm Canon from 1975 & a $ 50 lens w/ some 50iso slide film. BOOM!

  6. Picture Taker says:

One body – one prime lens… On your budget, I’d look at a Nikon D700 and the AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G Autofocus Lens. This will leave you some money for a couple of memory cards, which you will need.

I think all digital images need SOME sharpening in Photoshop, but this setup will get you as close as anything to what you want with what you have to spend.
