New York, NY (PRWEB) May 7, 2009

The Adorama Imaging Resource Center (AIRC) has undergone a significant facelift, and has been renamed the Adorama Learning Center (http://www.adorama.com/alc). Consisting of thousands of photography-related articles, how-to tips and product reviews, the Adorama Learning Center is now more user-friendly and interactive. It is a unique online photography resource that just got even better.

New features include the ability for visitors to comment on and rate any article. Easy social network bookmarking tools, RSS feeds for every category, and a new Blog and Podcasts have also been added. The look and feel of familiar features such as “100 in 100,” the Adorama Learning Center’s popular, ongoing photo tip-of-the-day feature, have been improved and the layouts widened in order to accommodate larger illustrations, while navigation has been made more flexible and user-friendly.

Expanded product reviews

In addition to a new look, the Adorama Learning Center is providing more product reviews. This week, for example, reviews are being posted about the Canon 300mm f/2.8L IS lens, the Leica M8 digital rangefinder lens, the Leica 28mm f/2.0 Summicron lens, and Kodak Ektar 100 film in 120 format. While these are pro items, expect reviews of consumer-level DSLRs and other products in the near future.

3,000 articlesand growing!

“With over 3,000 articles on the site–and that number is growing daily–it became essential for us to improve the navigation and make it easier for visitors to find the content they’re looking for,” notes Editor Mason Resnick. The content has been divided into more than 30 categories, including two distinct areas for picture-taking ideas and product-oriented articles and reviews. The daily-updated News Desk continues, with a new, improved look.

I was not able to find video reviews about the Leica CM. So I decided to make my own. Please be so kind and don’t be angry about the quality of my video(s). I’am not very experienced to make videos. I made it with my old digicam (Sony T10). It’s not easy to do that with only one free hand. Now I can understand all the other reviewers here Short summary to the Leica CM: It’s a wonderful high quality point & shoot camera made in Germany (Minilux was made in Japan). I was impressed about the picture quality. The Summarit f2.4 40mm is very sharp. Contrast and Bokeh is perfect. And the camera is so quiet! My Ricoh GR1v is smaller and better for the street, but so loud… I bought the CM at eBay in nearly mind condition for 400 Euro.

Between a Hollywood superstar and a voice actor, the latter actually works harder. It’s real challenging for him to convey feelings and emotions while reading, fully knowing that he will not be seen on the screen. The voice actor must be able to empathize with the character that he portrays and make sure that he breathes life into the script. This is where voice over training comes into play.

Voice over artists are able to learn the craft of voice acting and find good employment in this field by undergoing voice over training. There are 1000s of cartoon and animated TV shows, web shows, TV/radio advertisements, web videos, and movies being made continually. Moreover, each movie/TV show has a cast of more than 20-30 characters. There are global opportunities galore for a voice actor.

Voice over training course – the basic skills that you ought to have

Diction is one of the most important tools of the trade. Perfect enunciation is required from the student, hence, it is necessary for him to go to speech classes to master his diction. Every voice over actor has two roles to fulfill – “lending voice” and “acting.” So, perfect diction is not enough to start voice over training – the student must also enroll in an acting course before joining the voice over course.

What does a voiceover training program teach?

The student learns how to evaluate and interpret commercial copy for announcer and real-person roles. He also comes to understand how to interpret narrative copy and gets the hang of technical copy as well. The course educates the student how to efficiently coordinate mind, mouth and voice so that he can sound true to his character. Taking direction is also learned by the student.

A great voice actor training course makes students read, record, play back, listen, and then do it all over again until they get it right. Students warm-up and perform vocal exercises and learn techniques like timing, inflection, and articulation. They figure out how to preserve their vocal fitness. Half-way into the voice over training course, students become adept at using and adjusting tone, pitch, delivery speed and volume for a variety of jobs.

After the main training is over, students learn how to promote their skills, tap the appropriate contacts, and get voice over work. The course instructors also help them produce a voice over demo for their portfolio. An opportunity to experience working in a real studio is provided in a solid voice over training course for students. They also learn what the do’s and don’ts are whenever they are behind the microphone or in a sound booth.

Selecting a voice over training course

There are two aspects to voice training. Students who are attracted in selling must opt for a commercial voice over course. Commercial voice talents are employed for selling. Some of the areas that require this type of voice overs are radio ads, TV advertisements, phone and other media features. The voice over course also addresses selling skills because all commercial voice overs sell a product or a service. This program does not cover acting skills. If a student is interested in showbiz, then he should opt for dubbing and a movie or TV voice over course. Such courses require lip-synching, and so the voice over actor has to learn acting skills too.

To conclude, all the world’s a stage and we must play a part. So if you would like to be a voice actor, and you want to learn how to improve your voice, better enroll in a reputed voice actor training program.

Between a Hollywood superstar and a voice actor, the latter actually works harder. It is quite tough for a voice actor to put feelings and emotions to what he is reading, all the while knowing that he’s not seen on screen. He must jump into the skin of the character and pump life into the dialogues. This is where voice over training comes into play.

Voice over artists are able to learn the craft of voice acting and find good employment in this field by going through voice over training. Thousands of animated TV shows, cartoons, radio advertisements, web shows and movies are made on a regular basis. Take note that about 20 to 30 characters make up the cast of a single movie or TV show. The opportunities for a voice talent basically abound internationally.

Basic skills required to join a voice over training course

Diction is one of the most important tools of the trade. Perfect enunciation is demanded from the student, hence, it is necessary for him to go to speech classes to perfect his diction. Every voice over actor has two roles to fulfill – “lending voice” and “acting.” This means that acquiring a perfect diction is not enough to be able to join a voice over training, enrolling in an acting course is also essential for the student.

What’s taught in a voiceover training course

Assessing and interpreting commercial copy for announcer and real-person roles are learned by the student. He also learns how to interpret narrative copy and gets the hang of technical copy as well. Students learn to coordinate the mind, mouth and voice effectively, so that they may be able to sound really true to the personality they are playing. Taking direction is also mastered by the student.

Reading, recording, play back, and listening are done over and over again in an excellent voice talent training course. This is done in order for students to get it right. Students learn tactics such as inflection, timing and articulation. They perform warm-ups and vocal exercises as well. They figure out how to preserve their voice fitness. When students are already half-way into the voice over training course, they become competent at using and adjusting pitch, tone, volume and delivery speed to cater to various types of jobs.

After the main training is over, students learn how to promote their skills, tap the right contacts, and get voice over work. Instructors of the voice over program also assist them in creating a voice over demo, which would become part of their portfolio. A solid voice over training course gives students the opportunity to work in a real studio and fully grasp what they should and shouldn’t do in a sound booth and when behind the microphone.

Choosing a voice over training course

There are two facets to voice training. Students who are attracted in selling must opt for a commercial voice over course. Commercial voice talents are employed for selling. TV advertisements, radio ads, phone and other media feature these voice overs. Selling skills are also covered by a voice over course since all commercial voice overs sell a service or a product. This program does not include acting skills. If a student is interested in showbiz, then he should opt for dubbing and a movie or TV voice over course. Such courses require lip-synching, and so the voice over actor has to learn acting skillsets too.

To conclude, all the world’s a stage and we must play a part. So if you would like to be a voice talent, and you want to learn how to raise your voice, better enroll in a reputed voice actor training course.

Madison, WI (PRWEB) January 31, 2012

Laser Link Golf, a leader in distance measurement technology and solutions for the golf market, created a stir at the PGA Show in Orlando with its surprise introduction of Switch, the companys newest rangefinder product. Switch combines the features of the companys two most popular rangefinders the QuickShot and the Red Hot. When in QuickShot mode, measurements to Laser Link reflectors are fast, simple, and supremely accurate. Want to measure distance to other objects such as trees, bunkers, or hazards? Simply switch quickly and seamlessly to Red Hot mode and any landmark on the golf course is a target. The product will measure in yards or meters, and includes silent and vibrate measurement confirmation modes in addition to the standard dual-tone indicator.

We were very excited to be able to get Switch introduced at the PGA Show, said Dan Steiner, vice president at Laser Link Golf. We sold out our initial allotment in basically the first day, so well have to ramp up production going forward. The introduction of this product combined with some other attractive promotional programs made this one of the best PGA Merchandise Shows weve been a part of.

Switch will be available for retail sale in the summer of 2012. For more information about the product, contact Laser Link Golf at info(at)laserlinkgolf(dot)com.

I wrote a PostScript program to generate encoder wheels. Unlike similar programs, it is very flexible and many things (like scaling text to make it fit) are taken care of automatically. The printouts shown are from the first version of the program, and contain some bugs, which have been fixed.

Question by Julia: WHAT MONTH IN PREGNANCY CAN YOU HAVE A 3D SCAN?
When can you have a 3d scan i am 13 wks and hospital are not scanning me till 21 wks last scan was 8 wks.

Best answer:

Answer by Expecting #1!
Any time you are willing to shell out the cash, but be careful. Ask your doctor for a recommended site to have that done. Some 3D scanning places are not regulated and therefore the amount of radiation your baby is exposed to is too high. Your doctor should be able to tell you where to go, and may even offer to do it herself, for an extra fee.

What do you think? Answer below!
